WriteUpp spoke with Daniel Blackman about his experience using the software to run his psychology practice.

Daniel is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in adult mental health.

He’s based in the Durham Dales, and his practice principally focuses on providing psychological therapy to adults with complex mental health needs.

What motivated you to find a practice management system?

I wanted to automate as much of my workstream as possible to avoid needing an admin assistant.

Is WriteUpp the only practice management software you have used, or did you previously use a different system?

I have only ever used WriteUpp.

What made you choose WriteUpp?

It was recommended to me on a Facebook forum by many psychologists already using it to run their private practices.

Did you find it an easy decision, or were there some stumbling blocks or areas of concern for you before subscribing?

Being able to make use of a free trial period made the decision much easier, as I got to test the software out before committing to it.

What were the top three things you looked for in a practice management system?

What would you tell fellow practitioners about WriteUpp if they consider a practice management system?

It is simple to use, reliable and makes my job easier. Pricing feels about right.

How has your working life changed since using WriteUpp?

Moving to private practice from the NHS has been fantastic for my work satisfaction and well-being.

Whilst this isn't all down to WriteUpp, it has undoubtedly contributed to the satisfaction of successfully running my own practice.
