WriteUpp Form Builder – Early Preview
Alongside all of the other developments that we are working on (iOS and Android Apps, totally re-built Online Booking etc) we’ve also been pushing on with a new tool that a great many WriteUpp users have been asking for.
At present, WriteUpp contains around sixty pre-built assessment forms covering everything from Physiotherapy to Aromatherapy. We’ve grown this free library of forms over the last few years since we launched WriteUpp and we hope it has served you well. But, based on your overwhelming feedback we now feel its time to make some significant changes to the way we provide assessments to you. Here’s our reasoning:
- We want to provide you with total flexibility to create client-centric forms that you and your team can use in your practice. This could be anything from initial assessments to screening questionnaires and checklists.
- We recognise that many practices have intellectual property embedded in their forms that you may wish to keep “private” to your site.
- We want you to be able to print your completed forms so that they look professional and coherent on the page
- We want you to be able to use your assessment forms on your mobile device within the WriteUpp app (dependent on updates to the app)
For these reasons we will be providing you with a brand new WriteUpp Form Builder in the next release (v1.97 – due around the end of November) where you will be able to create your own customised assessment forms. At present we’re wrapping up testing and producing content to help you make the most of the builder so we thought we would give you a preview and share our “Getting Started” video with you:
Note: One or two things may change but to all intents and purposes this is the finished article
When the Form Builder is available we will continue to provide you with access to our pre-built forms which will be referred to as “Classic” forms to distinguish them from the “Custom” forms that you build yourself. The management of forms will be changed to provide simple access to the builder and to accommodate the differences between “Custom” and “Classic” forms but this will continue to be managed in Settings->Assessments.
We have more exciting plans for the Form Builder which will reveal over the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled on the WriteUpp blog and social media.
