Taking Payments Via Stripe
Very very soon you will be able to start taking credit and debit card payments in WriteUpp. We’ve been working on this for a while in conjunction with Stripe to provide you with the simplest and most cost effective way to get paid by your customers.
In the first phase of this project we’ll be providing you with the ability to connect Stripe to your WriteUpp account and insert a Paylink into your invoice emails and invoices. All your client then needs to do is click on the paylink, enter their card details and payment will be taken. The invoice will automatically be marked as “Paid by Stripe” in WriteUpp and you’ll also receive a notification in WriteUpp telling you that you’ve been paid. You can see the workflow below:
In a subsequent phase we will also be introducing the option to take payment via Online Booking but we don’t have any timescales for this at present.
To take payment (via Stripe) in WriteUpp you will be charged your local Stripe fee + 0.5%. So, for example, if your local Stripe fees are 1.4% + 20p/transaction you will be charged 1.9% + 20p/transaction.
